How to Find a Missing App Store Icon on Your iPhone or iPad
If the App Store icon has vanished from your iPhone or iPad Home Screen, don’t worry. As a pre-installed system app, the App Store cannot be deleted. It’s likely hidden in a folder, the App Library (on devices running iOS 14 or later), or obscured by a software setting. This guide provides practical solutions to locate the missing icon and restore access to app downloads and updates.
1. Search Your Device:
The quickest way to find the App Store is using the built-in search feature.
Swipe down from the middle of your Home Screen (or from the top-right corner on iPhones with Face ID) to access Spotlight Search.
Type “App Store”.
Tap the corresponding result to open the App Store.
Once opened, touch and hold the App Store icon to reveal the action menu. If you see “Add to Home Screen,” tap it. This indicates the icon was previously removed from the Home Screen, and this action will restore it.
2. Check the App Library (iOS 14 and later):
Introduced with iOS 14, the App Library automatically organizes all your apps, including the App Store.
Swipe left past your last Home Screen page to access the App Library.
The App Store is typically located in the “Utilities” category.
